RAIDEN LEGACY, a four-title compilation of the mega-popular RAIDEN arcade series, includes RAIDEN, RAIDEN FIGHTERS, RAIDEN FIGHTERS 2 & RAIDEN FIGHTERS JET. Originally developed by Seibu Kaihatsu, each of these classic scrolling shooters has not only been authentically recreated for mobile, but also enhanced with brand-new features!

MORE OPTIONS!
Each RAIDEN LEGACY title includes three different modes: “Arcade Mode” (just like the original); “Mission Mode”, which allows you to play any unlocked stage; and “Training Mode”, which, true to its name, allows you to excel at your favorite stages and practice the most difficult ones!

MORE SHIPS!
15+ different ships, each with their own characteristics, stats, weapons, and specials! Also, some ships come complete with “charged shots” – useful for when the screen is 90% covered with enemies!

MORE CONTROLS!
Choose between two different touch modes: “Fast Touch” (Faster than the original game and improved for mobiles) or “Arcade Touch” (Just like the original – retrogamers will love it!). What’s more, you can customize your approach by putting the controls wherever you prefer on screen.

The game itself works good, but when you first start the game, the touchscreen doesn't work correctly until you're almost about to die, and that's extremely annoying. I doubt anything will be done to fix the issue, but it would be nice. I would rather play the old school games that I buy them outright, and it eliminates the micro transaction scam. Micro transaction upgrades on modern shooters is not worth spending over $100 for 50-80 percent upgrades.

Excellent 16 bit shooter. Very fun and awesome. Absolutely fast paced gameplay that keeps you on your toes the whole time. I really hate how these purists call the new control scheme bad because it's "too fast" and "not like the original", failing to see how much precise the new controls are, allowing you to more easily dodge bullets. I'd prefer not to be handicapped by the slow movement of the original control scheme, especially if God forbid it got me killed.

Excellent port of the Xbox 360 version. How the setup is very simple and easy to grasp. The Fast Touch feature is one you have to play around with, depending your feel for the game. I agree with a few people who reviewed it, Raiden 2 should have been included with collection. This is one game you need to get if your a fan of the Raiden series.
